Quite heavy dose of C’s for John Lee this past weekend… Birthday dinner of a good friend Friday night at Bon Chon for some Korean fried Chicken… Caught the Celtics game there as well… Post dinner we played some extremely competitive Cranium, John’s team lost because he confused Single Ladies with Independent Woman… All of Saturday was spent at Anime Boston 2011 and the endless number of cosplayers… And Sunday was spent with work and watching the Celtics close out the Knicks
Seriously, is there a better team to watch in the playoffs than the Celtics? Even if you’re not a C’s fan, shame on you, but considering how many 7-game series they’ve had the last couple of years, the countless overtime games with Chicago during last year’s palyoffs, and then already two game-winning field goals by their studs, Boston fans always get great drama unfolding before their very eyes. KG, who was a little shaky with a couple of misses around the hoop, mans up and takes it to Jeffries for the game-winning field goal. KG definitely pulled a Ray Allen in this game. And while Rondo had a superb game, Carmelo took it to a new level while both Billups and Stoudemire were out. His performance last night was Lebronian, meaning prior to this current season when it was always Lebron and a cast of misfits leading the charge. Carmelo sure proved that he could carry a team on his shoulders with that memorable performance last night.
Family Guy had a Street Fighter inspired scene last week which was hilarious, great timing with the recent launch of the Nintendo 3DS and Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition… that Jameson Whiskey commercial with the huge octopus is great every time its on… Whatever happened to O-Town… ABDC is back on, surprised this show is still running, considering how incredible the Jabbawockeez were and how average the crews this season look; Omarion is no longer a judge… John just rewatched the recent Karate Kid remake, as good as it is, not close to the original and the Kobra Kai… Marilyn Manson in talks to join Lindsay Lohan about Charles Manson… Kollaboration Boston took place this past weekend, a good friend of John’s, Vudoo Soul, was at the event…
The Celtics capped off a comeback from being as down as 12 points to win in epic fashion with a clutch 3-pointer from Jesus Shuttlesworth Ray Allen. Jermaine O’Neal proved to be the best Celtic O’Neal. Amare had a monster game offensive game. Caremlo Anthony couldn’t deliver, I’m sure Amare is pissed off and was thinking to himself, “This was my team, get your own team Melo. We were runnin’ good before you got here.” Absolutely no reason that a “superstar” like Carmelo should start off to a great 4-7 in FGs to end the game 5-18.
